We are seeking a Business Development Representative to join our client's dynamic team. This role involves prospecting, identifying, and engaging potential clients, with a focus on providing tailored financial solutions. A strong financial acumen is essential, as the role requires analysing financial statements (balance sheets & P&L statements) to assess client viability.

- Identify and reach out to potential clients through strategic networking and outreach.
- Develop a strong understanding of the company, including asset-based lending and credit risk solutions.
- Analyze financial statements (balance sheets & P&L statements) to assess company financial health and funding options.
- Work closely with the Risk and Finance teams to evaluate client creditworthiness.
- Collaborate with senior sales executives to create tailored financial solutions.
- Maintain pipeline activity in the CRM system, ensuring timely follow-ups and deal progression.
- Build and nurture relationships with key stakeholders, including CFOs and finance executives.
- Stay informed on market trends and the competitive landscape in commercial finance.
- 1-3 years of experience in business development, sales, or financial services.
- Strong ability to read and interpret financial statements, including balance sheets and P&L reports.
- A background in finance, accounting, or commercial lending is highly preferred.
- Excellent communication and relationship-building skills.
- Self-motivated, proactive, and comfortable working in a fast-paced environment.
- Experience with CRM tools (e.g., Salesforce, HubSpot) is a plus.
